VI. Relevant Scholarship:
|
The amount of the scholarship is MOP$200,000 for each grantee. It will be transferred in a lump sum from the Macao Foundation to the grantee’s bank account in Macao. (Date of the transfer: no later than December 2020)
|
VII. Application Period:
|
May 15 to September 30, 2020 (Macao time)
|
VIII. Eligibility:
|
-
Macao Permanent Residents;
-
Received a minimum of three consecutive years of schooling in Macao, or worked for at least three consecutive years in Macao;
-
At least 8-years of management experience;
-
Do not hold an equivalent of or a higher degree than the funded courses;
-
Current enrolled students of the above courses or prospective students to be enrolled in the above courses in 2020/2021 academic year.

IX. Application Procedure:
|
Qualified applicants shall log in to the Talents Development Committee website at http://www.scdt.gov.mo/ before September 30, 2020 to access the Scholarship Application System (By clicking the Program icon) and fill in the table. Applicants shall also submit the copies of following documents:
- Valid Macao Permanent Resident Identity Card;
- Certificates or academic reports issued by local educational institutes that proves at least three consecutive years of schooling in Macao; or employment certificate that proves a minimum of three consecutive years of employment in Macao (issued by related working bodies).
- Certificate of university’s degree (bachelor or above);
- Report of Grade Point Average (GPA) of each academic year;
- Proof of employment
- Résumé (8-year work experience on management required);
- Motivation letter (shall cover the goal of studying this course and career plan for the future 5 years. Maximum 1000 words);
- Letter(s) of recommendation (written by a current employer or industry representative, accompanied with the profile of the referred employer; details about business area, number of employees etc. shall be included);
- Admission Letter of the program in 2020/2021 academic year, or a current enrollment certificate.

X. Selection, Confirmation and Announcement of the Results:
|
- According to the selection criteria of the Talents Development Committee, a maximum of five eligible applicants will be selected;
- Macao Foundation shall confirm the above selected results;
- The selection results shall be announced on the website of the Talents Development Committee in November 2020. Selected candidates will be notified via telephone and e-mail.
|
XI. Documents to submit for Scholarship Acceptance:
|
The following documents shall be submitted to the Talents Development Committee within 15 days upon announcement of the list of grantees:
- A statement of accepting the Scholarship and its related liabilities;
- A copy of the passbook of a Macao bank account (the page with name and account number of the grantee);
- A résumé printed through the “Talent Information Registration” system.
* Overdue submission will be regarded as a waiver, except for force majeure or special circumstances. Selected grantee who gives up the scholarship shall be prohibited from participating in the activities of the Committee for two years.

XII. Obligations:
|
Grantees must comply with the following obligations:
- The grantee shall NOT receive grant or scholarship issued at the same time from any other public entities in Macao;
- The grantee shall complete the courses and the thesis within the minimum length of his/her study period, and submit a copy of the Master’s Degree Certificate to the Talents Development Committee within 6 months upon completion;
- The grantee shall work in the course-related field in Macao within 6 months after obtaining the Master’s Degree for the period specified below:
- When applying for the scholarship, if the then-applicant is studying the courses specified in Article IV and the remainder of the courses last less than a year, the required period of working is 3 years;
- In other cases, the period of working is 2 years;
- For special cases, the grantee shall submit a written statement in advance to the Talents Development Committee. With the consent of the Committee, the grantee may delay the obligation for no longer than one year.

XIII. Consequences of Violation
|
If the grantee fails to comply with the obligations set forth in this Prospectus, or if any false statement or omission of fact is found in the submitted documents, the grantee shall bear the following consequences:
- The scholarship will be canceled immediately;
- The grantee shall repay the received scholarship to the Macao Foundation within one year, counting from the date when the grantee misconducts; In case of force majeure or special circumstances, the grantee shall submit a written statement with related evidence to the Talents Development Committee for deferred repayment or exemption;
- For any false statement or omission of important facts, the grantee shall bear all legal liabilities.
